Paddington is one of the principal London rail termini. The 4th Span was built as an extension to original station designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel in 1916.
We were appointed for the lighting design for platforms 9 to 12 were undertaken as part of the restoration and repair of the original Grade 1 listed Edwardian extension at Paddington Station.
The scheme comprised two principal lighting elements; ambient lighting for the platforms, provided by large-scale suspended high bay luminaires and accent lighting to the cast iron roof trusses provided by close offset narrow beam uplights utilising LED light sources.
