As part of Deloitte campus connection with its new Headquarters at 1 New Street Square (also Equation Lighting design), two new landmark footbridges were created at levels one and seven, linking two adjoining buildings.
Rather than taking up floor space within the buildings, the ramps and stairs occur within the bridge, giving each a folded plate origami-like form. The design includes soffit panels of bead-blasted and mirror polished stainless-steel sheet. The large glazed vertical facade walls continue from soffit to roof between slender mullions at quarter points along the bridge.
Internally the space has custom made ribbed structure seating and tables with lighting accentuating architectural shapes, forms and nature of each individual material used.
The project was completed in December 2019.
