More London has an area of 279,000m2 and comprises City Hall (Headquarters of the Greater London Authority), a sunken amphitheatre called ‘The Scoop’, office blocks, shops, restaurants, cafés, and a pedestrianized area containing open-air sculptures and fountains. More London was a pioneering project for south riverside commercial regeneration and has helped create a strong sense of place to the borough of Southwark. Our scope of work included an initial lighting strategy and the detailed design phase. All external lighting elements were considered with reference to the local context and its connection to the surrounding environment. More London was the first project in the UK to receive a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating.
