Each Central London Elizabeth Line station has a separate architectural team. The client’s brief for each station was that the above ground station box should be unique and respond to the local context, whilst the sub-surface station should be consistent with the line wide architecture, materials and lighting strategy.
We were employed as part of the consultant team for the design Bond Street station, which has two separate entrances; one on Bond Street and one in Hanover Square.
Our scope of work included the external façade lighting, external public realm element, ground level concourse, the Bond Street and Hanover Square ticket halls and a sub-surface interchange link.
The ticket halls are characterised by generous fair-faced concrete coffers which are internally illuminated. Other features of the project include a dynamic colour changing information wall and an external colonnade with dramatically lit vertical louvre screen.
