The museum galleries include temporary exhibitions, permanent displays and ancillary facilities such as lecture theatres and restaurants. Our scope of work comprised both artificial lighting and daylight design.
During daylight hours, many of the gallery and display spaces are illuminated with natural light that is carefully modulated to provide suitable environmental conditions for the exhibition space. The most unique element of the artificial lighting scheme comprises a series of weaving staircases and circulation corridors incorporating diffused lighting on their underside.
